In todays Mail Daniel Hannan MEP writes about the EU.
He receives his monthly salary plus £3,500 per month for incidental expenses, which are tax free. He does not have to claim the money nor fill in an expense form it his given freely.
He also states that when claiming the cost of his flight from London to Brussels he was given a wad of money, much larger than his claim. He was told the money was correct as the EU air expenses are based on kilometers travelled and not actual cost.
In another article the Army is hind bound by EU rules, Tank commanders and crew cannot train or remain in their tank for more than nine hours, except when at war.
Army training exercises must take into account local animal wildlife. If the Army is building a bridge and water voles are spotted they then must move to another site.
You couldn't make it up if you tried
