Re: UK General Election 2015.
With all due respect to those who do not wish another ding dong re political views, like cappy, Louis x 2, I don't see a problem. If anything they always have a high percentage of viewings. Whether the posters agree or not matters not a jot it is simply stimulating the little grey cells. If more seafarer's posted on nautical matters then grand, but that's not always the case so padding is needed. I for one love the site being so diverse, threads often go off on another tangent and
are most enlightening for it. Have learned a great deal being a member, long may it continue.
.Incidentally this thread is posted under "Trivia and Interesting Stuff" Oh the irony..

Incidentally have never once had to listen to a politician sprout from a foghorn and the canvassers who rattled my knocker in Ireland were Sinn Féin. T'was sweet watching them
walk slowly back up the hill out the gate with my guard dogs behind them.

Re Number 7.
How very sad.
Sometimes having a good opinion of yourself can be too much, as it can go to your head and turn you into a most unlikeable person.
I suggest you digest the well worded poem in post number 5, which hopefully, will enable you to get down from your high horse.

Re: UK General Election 2015.
I wonder if they brought in a new law to the one vote one man/woman, that due to the lethargic lack of people turning out to exercise their right, that it was possible to sell your vote to someone else. Would be very relevant as to what value this would have if any, and to any uproar it might cause. One of the free things given away by government and never 100 per cent utilized. JS

Re: UK General Election 2015.
FOURO,
Re # 15,
Pity and to use your words, sad, that you cannot even see that it is not the physical act of voting I am against, it is the circus that goes on for the two months and more, prior to the election, from which there is no escape. All I was asking was that this site remained a haven from the utter bedlam, waffle, and lies that is being pedaled by the so called future rulers of our country. It is a great pity that you don,t take the time to see, and perhaps if you are capable, which it would appear you are not, digest ( to use your words again ) and understand other peoples views on things, which they have a right to put forward. I have no high opinion of myself, just a desire to put my points, thoughts and feelings forward, as everyone is entitled to. You appear to be a typical politician type, who twists and turns peoples words, so as to infer meanings and impressions which are totally different to those put forward, in order to further your own ends. By all means pedal your political propaganda, as is your right, however, whilst doing so, understand that other people have a right to put their thoughts forward too, its called ' freedom of speech '.

Oh the rhetoric prior to the vote, they promise you the earth and what do they give you........... a bucket of dirt. Our new state premier is in a bind, having found out he will have to break his promise on no less than three points. What next, a politician with a brain?????
