if anyone here knew him, he was an Electrician by trade. Ended up on the Oil Riggs, then became a hotelier in Findhorn itself, originally from Glasgow.

We have four pairs of breeding Osprey living in Melbourne. Each year they nest on tall building ledges and make the TV news, have been around for many a year now. Like all Australian wild life they area protected species and great fun to watch flying in and out of the city buildings.
