Panic Stations in Liverpool proved tobe false alarm but we can't afford tobe complacent.Liverpool Royal hostpital are on alert for such cases.It would appear that the people on the coach could not get off quick enough and get well away.

The Ebola, and other disasters are like readings from the Old Testament, Fire, Flood. Famine and pestilence. History repeating itself over and over again through the centurys. The only thing missing is the actual numbers of the past who died due to such. Even the wars now being carried on are not something new, as have always happened over the ages, same reasons no different. The Climate change that people get their knickers in a twist over has been occuring over the milleniums. No one on this earth is capable of stopping, only at the most of maybe slowing down the inevitable. No one has the answers, we have life for the short time we are on this earth and should make the most of what we have. This does not include the human failings of the past, such as the continuing murder rape and pillage in the middle east. JS

re. checking incoming passengers for Ebola.
For once I have to agree with the government. Yes check people from certain countries for Ebola on arrival but the only real way of preventing it entering the country it to stop it at source, meaning any person leaving an Ebola affected country should be tested PRIOR to departure.
Similar situation to the illegals in Calais, it should be the froggies preventing them from getting to the U.K., not our Immigration lot when they do get smuggled in.

West Africa as always been know for not being a very healthy place now that this dreadful disease Ebola as broken out why does it seem to be this place .
Many years ago on my first trip (January 1941)on the Duchess of Bedford the convoy called into Freetown as we dropped the anchor out came the bum boats dozens of them .
I can remember that the troops was not to deal with them especially the fruit .We was told to turn the hose on them and we did

if you brought an animal in of the continent it would have to be quarantined for 16 weeks? while ebola is going around why not do the same all transport from effected areas should not come here?

So far only one suspected case here in Oz and she has been declared clear. There is no way that any one can stop this unless all travel is abandoned until the crisis is over. How manty carriers are out there abd do not know it?

just watched on sky immigration handling passports from west Africa they had no gloves on no wonder Ebola is on the move a German has died of Ebola today??jp

Africa is calling for more aid as we have learned in the past how much will go to the fight against Ebola and how much will finish up in someone's ar.e pocket? governments around the world are getting worried now it is and will spread if not contained in Africa anyone with it treat them out there having family in the medical profession its a bit scary??jp

I think most of us on here have been to East and West Africa and know that the chances of competent checks being made on travellers prior to leaving Africa will be about as much use as a paper raincoat, as Africa is not renowned for its efficiency in any field of administration. Alas our politicians have no idea what type of countries they are dealing with and on their limited ministerial visits have only been shown what the Africans want them to see, they have no inkling what so ever of the maladministration or corruption that exists in these countries, Sierre Leone being one of the prime movers in this field. I sincerely hope that the commanders of the service personnel being sent out there to assist are sufficiently wise enough to put a ring of steel around the shore hospitals that our troops are working in. Just as an aside I notice that the 'Argus' is manned by a 180 'service personnel' according to the news media and the MN Captain of the 'Argus' made no attempt to correct that statement when interviewed, making no mention of the MN personnel who are voluntarily sailing into uncharted waters, which I personally thought was very remiss of him, or does he think he is part of the RN because his ship is painted grey.
