Often went ashore with the deck crew. Was envious of them in port. They didn't have to keep watches.
    Even got a lay in.
Us in the galley had to turn to seven days a week regardless.
Only ship I was ever on that we worked one on, one off, was the Iberia in Sydney.
Goaneese stewards would bring us tea and tab nabs to our bunks.
That got us ready for Kings Cross.

    Well almost!

Kings Bloody Cross, Den you would not know it now. The bludgers have cleaned it all up, no girls, or 'boys' on show now, ploice all over the joint, they have ruined the atmosphere. If you are found drunk in the street now you get taken away, all the fun has gone.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

The station has been revamped, added to, re-newed, refurbished etc. The action now takes place at the rear (of the station) not as up front as before but still occurring behind. K
