    Default Sorry Rob!

What happens when you ask an engineer to pour you a drink.

Nice invention though it should have been in the dark ages LOL

I won't bother Marion, I need one that takes off screw caps and and does more than just wets the glass.

This sort of technology really scares me. All that's needed is for someone to invent a 10" vibrator that can unscrew a pickle jar and us lads will be history.

Turned off the sound and enjoyed the show. He did let himself down by using the bottle of cheap plonk. ... Oh! It did pour the perfect amount.

Very reminiscent of the machine in "The Engineers Song", the lyrics of which are far too rude to repeat here but starts off wiyh the line
"An engineer told me before he died"
    with the chorus of
"A rum titty bum titty bum"
the rest is up to your imagination if you don't know the lyrics.

One thing I find a lot these days , especially with software engineers , is the need to over complicate life . I have seen Websites that have snow in winter , play Jingle Bells at Christmas , but are un navigable , the functionality of simple computer chips means everything in the house can tell the time , room temperature and weather , the classic example is the mobile phone , I want top make phone calls , oh and texts are handy , mine does an amazing array of things from telling me how far my golf ball is from the hole , why ., It does not make the play better , just me down heartened , it tells the World where I am , that could be embarrassing , when I m at the waxing and tanning studio , it reminds me what time it is , what the weather is , and a load of other things , all I want is calls and the odd text , but some software engineer in a moment of boredom designed the smart phone , it goes with the smart TV , my smart electricity ,meter , and a bunch of " smart " computer literate facebooked grandchildren , who will text across the room rather than converse , lets get back to basics . Take a modern ship or aircraft , the engines ring home every day , why , so the superintendent can ring you at sea on the satellite phone and tell you that you have number six cylinder running hot . Maybe , just maybe , I like being a dinosaur some days
