We have a situation here in Victoria in Oz where Tuesday a ploitician may be expekked from parliament for rorting the allowances. He has not been charged by the police for any wrong doing, he has been cleared by a committee of any wrong doing but they ALL say he must go! If he does he will be the first since 1901.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

I HAVE JUST HAD MY QUITE SUNDAY MORNING RUINED
It was bad enough having to put up with England losing to Italy in the world cup but then...
on comes BLAIR spouting on the BBC news saying that the present troubles in Iraq are due to the West not intervening in Syria, Yemen etc.
IS THIS MAN MAD OR JUST THE BIGGEST WARMONGER SINCE ATTILA THE HUN
The only Westerner going into those countries should be him with his cheesey grin and phoney talk, not any service people.
He would most likely stop all fighting as after 10 minutes in his company the insurgents would be running for the hills and throwing themselves like lemmings off a cliff just to get away from his droning voice.
The worst part about it all was after having to listen to him spouting was that the next news item was the dedication of the Naval memoriam at the National Arboretum in Staffordshire. Very beautiful it is too but regretfully the MN still not getting a look in there.
Rant over, going to lie dark corner.

    It gets worse.
Then came the next news item ... The US have sent the aircraft carrier George H W Bush to the gulf to assist the Iraq government. Now where is that Dylan album Desire? I need to listen to the second track.

Hi John, At the national Aboretum there is the Merchant Navy Forest which was planted to represent the losses of MN ships in WW2.
Surrounding the Forset are plaques of Merchant Navy Companies and the losses that suffered during the conflict.
At the head of the forest flies the Red Ensign, and to protect it is a BEM gun.
