Re: house of lords
Hi shipmates, I was thinking a small tarpauilng muster should buy us a peerage off E/Bay , then we could take our seat in the lords, on a rota system £300 a day ? we all could become "The lords of the middle watch" The Crest two tridents or{ caulking mallets} over empty bottles, Rum? on a background of B.P green, that would have a attractive shipshape look on the blazer pocket... the money is tax free... our attendence record would be the best ...

Re: house of lords
For a rebellion to succeed you need the Military on your side. In Britain the Military will always remain loyal to the Crown. They've taken an oath to do that.

Re: house of lords
There is a simple answer to this, all it needs is a private members bill to remove the House Of Lords from existance. So simple, all the Lords have to do is vote for it, problem solved.
Have you ever seen pigs when there is nothing in the trough, they can get very vocal

#14... They are all tarred with the same brush.. Even the Iron Lady re introduced taxing expenses for seafarers joining ships. Business men which suppose includes politicians no such thing. There are still 2 classes of society in Britain , the haves and the have nots. John S.
