Didn't half cause some problems for the Coastguard when they were first installed, people reporting all the time that there were people drowning in the sea off Crosby. They also holed a couple of dinghy's being somewhat hidden under the water at high tide.

Antony Gormley also did them in New York and put them on the top of buildings the police were being phoned by people reporting "jumpers".
