Where were you when.......
Just heard on Radio Merseyside a guy called Ken describing where he was when Kennedy was shot 50 years ago today. He was in New York on a Cunard boat- so was I - the Carinthia. Wonder was it our Ken from this site.

At home up for orals for master. A few months previous had been in the Baton Rouge area and ashore Kennedy was never liked much by a lot of people in the Southern States and remember the consensus of opinion in some of the pubs was that if he ever crossed the Maison Dixie line he wouldn't be going back. Thought at time it was just sheer bravado by a lot of loud mouths, think everyone was shocked however when it happened. John Sabourn
