I used to make my own wine and beer and go to wine circles. one of the blokes if he had a wine he didn't like, would pour it into a shallow tray, put it in the freezer, when it was frozen he would throw the ice away, what was left
was pure alcohol, he then poured this in his home made beer.

Hi Shipmates, Strong illegal booze is everywhere in the U.K. most of it is made on the backs of lorrys Vodka is the main one you can tell its fake by the smell of nail polish remover. its sold in many discount shops in wales but you can buy it everywhere,Trying to stop stupid people drinking it would be a very hard task, as they dont understand the damage that it will do to them? Much money needs to be put into media to tell them and More experts like Captain Kong son to educate them before its to late for many young people.

The One Stop ( Tesco under another name ) at the end of my road , on the road into a large Portsmouth Estate , has over twenty varieties of cheap strong Cider and over seven varieties of Vodka , as well as the strong lagers . If you go to the local Pharmacy there is a queue to go in the little room with the Pharmacist to get the daily fix of Methadone . These guys a have never had a job , and never will have a job , a high percentage have additional benefits due to disabilities caused by the Bi-Polar which seems to link to smoking Skunk Marijuana . They get up mid day , get their Script from the Pharmacy , and get a beer from the one stop on the way , drink cider from 3 Litre bottles and watch movies on TV until the three AM bedtime . They breed prolifically like feral cats , some mothers have six children all by different fathers . They make up ( About ) 5% of the population of the estates , but they hang around like a bad smell . I have a lot of sympathy for te genuine unemployed , but those particular individuals , well hope holds no chances for them ....

I had some very good young apprentices , I know a lot of great teenagers , there are young lads and girls out there who want to get a car , a house a family ., and live a decent life , the scum falls into the minority , but they seem like they are everywhere , because they are the loudest and most obvious .

I listened yesterday Radio 4 , a young unemployed man really giving a poor opinion of David Cameron's policies , Why ? well he had a media studies degree and the scum at the job centre were trying to make him get a job , he had studied Media at University and he was entitled to a job in the media - My thought was Sell F-in Papers then , or wrap chips . He was ENTITLED to a job in what he had studied , what a toyser .

The others I hear are off the local estate , they smoked dope , got Bi-polar ,, and are ENTITLED to sickness money , those Toysers are suffering from self inflicted illness , I would give them Nowt !!"

Another big problem is my lad and others like him have to try and save their lives when they overindulge and over dose.
If it was me I think I would give them The Needle,
They are no use to man or beast. they will be like thet for the rest of their lives.
The Berstereds just go Robbing for their drug and plonk money.
Next door has just been robbed again today for the Third Time in three weeks, the ones they caught last week were in Court yesterday, Wednesday. 3 of them
They were told not to be naughty and please do not do it again. It is probably the same 3 again, they just get away with it.

Rob, we too always had apprentices. 99% were great & believe it or not it gives you, well me anyway quite a nice feeling when either they or their parents thank you. We did it in China & Hong Kong too. By doing this you avoid the as we used to call him the $3,000 man syndrome. He was a specialist welder we used to use in Aus & that was his charge per day, sure a 12 hour one, but! You paid it or went without as they were like rocking horse manure & that was a LONG time ago. Supply & demand comes to mind.

There was a report non BBC East midlands a few months ago about Methadone.
It cost the NHS in this region approximately £300m a year, and there appears to be no attempt to rehabilitate them, its too easy to do nothing.
replicate that cost across the whole of the UK and you are talking serious money
