John #9, the problems of Africa and other countries will continue for as long as the west wants. As long as they are starving or killing one another thye pose no threat to the west. But if all the tribes of Africa got together thye could become a threat to the west, so the carnage is allowed to continue.

What a very true statement John P. But they are ****** camps and for me the next war will be a religious war. Look how the ******s have migrated to the Western world, As my old Mum god bless her always said history has a nasty way of repeating it's self. For me the poor brave soles that we have just been remembering must be turning in there graves, seing how we have let them down.

The power bases are changing. Not venturing into religion in its many forms, the sixty four dollar question is probably 'when' and 'who', and then 'what' will the eventual ultimate power do to change the population of the world to behave in a manner considered acceptable. This opens a can of worms. Ancient Rome, Napoleon, Hitler, among others, had a go but were not the ultimate power when they set out to conquer the world. And they didn't have the rapid and totally absolute destructive weaponry available and that will be available for the next round.

One Big problem of the world is Population growth.
If you counted the Hundreds of Millions of people who have died in the last 100 years in wars and then they would have bred and then their children and grandchildren would have bred , Multiplying with each generation.
There would be standing room only on this planet, we would be eating each other as there would not be enough food.
So maybe, just maybe, war is a necessary evil to keep the population down.
They are also curing diseases that killed people and they start to breed. They are finding a cure for Malaria, my daughter in law is a Doctor who is developing a cure, she goes to the Mekong, and Uganda and many other places in her research. Malaria kills Five Million people a year, in one generation that is an extra 15 million people, and the next 50 million and so on. where do you feed these extra people, How do you employ them , how do they live and where.??
Millions of people across the world are on the move. They want to come from the poorer countries to the richer countries,
Regarding wars, Ghadaffi said before he was killed. We do not need to fight the west, we will take over with our numbers. This is a fact that is happening now.
I do not live in an English town anymore, I do not hear a word of English spoken anymore when I go into town.
I also noticed that of all the "refugees" flooding into southern europe and Lampadusa Italy and all young men of a fighting age. Very Few women and old people amongst them. Are these the foot soliers of the invasion ???
There is a certain religion that is hell bent on taking over the world, their slogan is "Convert or Die." these people are in increasing numbers across the world. They are not afraid of death, life here is only a preparation for the next life, so how do you stop them??
So Wars will continue, there will be no stopping them,

ALF, I think everyone on this site would agree that Sectarianism around the world is responsible for a lot of conflict. If whichever bible you read they all predict the same you will be answerable to one god at the end, Its just that peoples idea of this one god have different paths to guide you through life and different interpretations of what this god is. Is this worth the cause of so many deaths around the world. A suicide bomber or the twin towers affair, believes that he will become a martyr for taking anothers life, A christian bible says thou shalt not kill, What about a Japanese kamikaze pilot, ******s pray to god there suicide missions will be successful. Tamil tigers in Sri Lanka where the first suicide bombers as we have grown to know them, Islamic suicide bombers i have read are pushed towards their actions because of misunderstanding of their nationalism. It does mostly come down to religion or biblical beliefs. But still this one god will all pass judgement on those who take anothers life. I made a donation to the red cross appeal for the people of the Philippines yesterday. Not so much because i am a Christian and my religious beliefs. Because they are terrible victims of what was a natural disaster and are people in need and if my few quid goes a small way to feed a hungry child and maybe save a life, Its called what this world of ours lacks HUMANITY.............. World population is going to and is already the biggest problem that the world will face. Over population is going to be the doomsday of the human race not climate change. The scientists should be putting their energies into forecasting population growths, the decline of food supplies and the use of oxygen which they are too willing to blame on carbon emissions. China had and may still have this restricting family growth by limiting the number of babies that a family could have. However this is shouted down in a democratic society, and wouldn't work as would finish up with an aged society, and not enough workers to pay for the rest, this is in our world. In a communist world in theory could well work if the basic laws of communism was adhered to. However as no one wishes to take the hard decisions the world will still muddle through to the bitter end. Maybe science will advance enough for immigration to other planets before this happens. This may be the reasoning by India in its quest to Mars. I still fail to see why a country like India wants space knowledge, is it just the prestige, would do better looking after the people they already have starving and impoverished. John Sabourn
At the tiem of the begining of the Industrial Revolution, about 1750, world population was less than one billion, now close to 7.5 billion and growing at a steady rate.
On the news today last year was the warmest on record, but the fact is world record keeping only began in 1948, prior to that only country by country informatuion with some keeping little or no records.
It has been said by many that the whole issue of so called climate change and global warming is nothing less than a political tool. I am of the opinion the west is attempting to use it in an effort to saty ahead of the pack. The pack that will in time take over, history shows that empires come and go, the current western style of life is just another empire of sorts.
