There will hopefully always be the designers and architects, but as all the associated trades and British work force are few and far between. I was amazed whilst in London a few months ago when asked the bus driver to drop us off at the stop in one of the main streets. Being of foreign birth he had no idea of the street names and even doubt he spoke enough English to warrant such a job dealing with the public. Everywhere one went it was mostly non English people one dealt with in shops and the likes. I managed to get around way out ports in foreign lands years ago much better than I did in certain parts of the uk. Cheers John Sabourn
