Agree with all, John, except perhaps the telephone landline and the book. Here in Canada, we pay some of the highest fees in the world for cellular service, far more than for a landline phone. The government does little about it and the governing body, the CRTC, doesn't do much either, other than recently changing the rules around contracts. Gave up my cell a few years ago and sticking with the landline.
I'm afraid I have absolutely no desire whatsoever to read a book from a screen. After years of working on a computer, my eyesight is becoming very poor. The last thing in the world I want to do is read a book on a screen.

RMS St Helena is the last one , I don't know if the plans to build an airport went ahead , if so she will be gone soon I expect
I would guess that not all overseas mail goes by air yet. I know that in the late 80,s on the Canmar ships on the U.K. and Continent to Canada run we always had at least two containers full of mail, presumably a mix of letters and parcels. These must have been quite heavy as they were always stowed in the lower tiers below decks to avoid the containers getting wetted.

Re #18. Whilst working for Saguenay Terminals of Montreal in 67/68. We carried mail around the West Indies. Usually the 2nd. Mates job to arrange for their discharge. It was a sackable offence to overcarry a bag of mail, so never saw this happen the 11months I was there. I remember there were 2 codes for bags red and blue, think the red was registered mail. The Y flag was if remember correctly I am carrying mails. Cheers John Sabourn
