    Default Old TV Commercials

I find myself periodically humming or singing the old TV commercials such as "Rael-Brooke Poplin the shirt you don't iron", or "You'll wonder where the yellow went when you brush your teeth with Pepsodent" or "Murray Mints, Murray Mint, too good to hurry mints". I remember one where a bottle of Mackeson beer is kicking a ball but can't remember the song that accompanied it. There has to be dozens more, who can reminds us of a few?

Two that I remember from the 70's/80's?

1st "Oh Alice I want a bun a lovely cream bun, talk me out of it " Alice replies "So give in" the reason being that whatever the ad was advertising it was so low in calories that you were allowed a sin. My mother's name is Alice so we enjoyed teasing her..... And more importantly life is for living!

2nd The drinks ad for Martini " Anytime, Any Place, Anywhere"...... "Martini" the nickname given to a girl who was free with her affection to all in sundry!!

    Default Martini

Most famous and funniest advert for Martini featured Joan Collins and the guy who played the original Reggie Perrin (name escapes me) on a plane where he is trying to be dead posh drinking Martini and ends up spilling his drink all over Joan Collins.
Cannot remember the wording but it certainly got a laugh from most of us.

I still sing that one out loud at home Chris, in my best Luciano Pavarotti voice. "Delicious ice ream, from Italy".

It was Leonard Rossiter - I think the words were " AH getting your head down dear, thats a good idea " as he tipped her seat back and emptied the drink all over her.

    Default Old TV Commercials.

A lovelly Esso gleaming tanker heading down the motorway and the driver singing "The Esso sign means happy motoring".
It's closely followed by a brilliant shining Shell tanker and the driver singing "I'm going well I'm going well I'm going well with Shell ,Shell Shell"
This old black rusty heap of a tanker is bringing up the rear it's driven by an Irish fella singing "What kind of fool am I".
