Hi Shipmates, I drunk plenty of firewater, do they supply the asbestos boots. for the walk? or no way.
What ever you do when firewalking , never pass wind, I was going to say fart but it may be censored.

Fire walking was a pretty cool pass time in Fiji. A shallow pit is filled with large smooth boulders, covered with firewood and set alight. After many hours when the rocks are scorching hot the ashes are raked away and the fire walking ceremony begins. But not before some water is splashed on the rocks to evaporate in hissing steam.Quote:

Cappy, here is a picture postcard of a Lautoka scene taken about the time you were enjoying your stay there. Unfortunately, Charlie Stinson used the image anti copy system. I'm glad now that I threw him fully dressed into the swimming pool at a party in Suva.

Richard you sure are numero ono when it comes to info on Fiji the photo brings back strong emotions and memories to this person I think your idea is great and I may even add a story or two of my stay there ...one of a liason on the beach naked with a Fijian girl also naked and having the best fun sailors can have an engineer I did not realise took a photo and only showed me back in shields months later...sadly many years later he came of watch up the gulf drank a can screwed it up said ive effin seen it all and juped over the wall by the time the ship turned round he had gone so sad regards cappy

The trip we are planning includes calls at Miami/fFort Lauderdale, Costa Rica, Panama Canal. Equador, Callao/ Lima. Peru, Easter Island and Statues, Pitcairns Island, Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, Pango Pango Samoa, Lautoka, Fiji, Noumea and Islle de Pines in New Caledonia and then to Sydney. On the `Amsterdam,` Holland America. next January and February. I have a few Polynesian mates in Tahiti and Moorea who are fantastic hosts and a good laugh.
We usually do somethying similar every year, this year fell in a heap.
