    Default transit vans

The last of over 2million transits has been built at Southampton. the production line is to be dismantled, and production ,moved to Turkey The UK now has 500 more skilled workers on the dole, Ford got 80 million Euros for the new plant in Turkey from the European Union, and Turkey is not in the EU!, they just pay lower wages ! hence Ford make more profits, as I don't believe prices will be reduced.Another brilliant act from our masters in Brussels, about time we told them to get lost.

Ron, after operating since T models were built here in Oz we've got this. I wouldn't buy a Ford again. The last one I had was crap anyway.

Where is the solidarity of this Nation.
Every decent Brit should boycott FORD.Every Ford Car van and truck should be outlawed. Every gas Station should refuse to allow any Ford vehicle to refuel. Get FORD off the road in Britain, Hit them where it hurts, in the wallet. let them sell Fords in Turkey but NOT in UK.

Brian, a boycott wont work, we would probably be fined millions of Euros by sproutland for banning the sale of Ford products, nice thought.

The country doesn't boycott them they are still allowed in but the populace just don't buy them, there is no law against that.Buy the likes of a Vauxhall van made here in Luton. What happened to the slogan Buy British.

    That is right Jim,
those animals across the water cannot make us buy anything Not made in Britain.......yet.
When I go shopping I buy Nothing from europe. No Fruit, No veggies, No wine, I do Not go to europe for holidays,
I try to buy all British products if possible. sometimes a little difficult. Friday in the Suprmarket, SHE picked up a packet of green beans, I looked at the label, Produce of France, threw it back and bought a pack produced in Egypt instead. I try to give them Nothing. I will do without first.
Merkel has finally achieved what Kaiser Bill and Adolf Hitler failed to do, control europe.

We do have a thriving car industry though , Honda , Nissan , Toyota , all World beaters , UK production figures as man hours per car are comparable with Japan if not in some cases better , Shame that Ford prefer the Turks ands the £80,000,000 cheap loan from the EU to help them build the plant . The £600,000,000 investment from Fords to build a new plant is designed to cut unit costs , and as such I believe the " "white Van Man " will still buy them , because of the price starting at £17,995 whilst the Vivaro from Vauxhall starts at £19,093 . White Van man saves over £1000 by buying the Turkish Transit

The problem with Britain now is that we have No British owned Car Manufacturers. [ maybe just a small company making specialist cars.]
They are all foreign owned. Even our Prestigious cars , Rolls Royce and Jaguar, and Land Rover.
Everything we ever had has been sold off to foreigners. We manufactured for the world, now nothing.
Just look at the exports we carried in the 50s, in British built ships with British crews, unbelievable, every country world wide buying our goods. We owned more than 50% of the worlds Merchant fleets. All gone.
    .
Stupid, bent and corrupt Politicians, that the British People elected to look after our Interests, sold us out and got rid of all our industries, now we have nothing, we just have a few hand outs from our former enemies, Nissan, Toyota, Honda etc. we have to import now in foreign ships with foreign crews.
and people wonder why there are no jobs.
    I despair.
    Brian.
