Vernon was narrowing it down and got the details of the Tofua's schedule. You got very close to it in Vava'u only one stop before and Pago Pago is the one after. It is in fact, Alofa, Niue. The picture in Niue - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia shows a very modern little capital very different to October 1967 when the photo of the Tofua riding at anchor was taken.

The Island leg of the voyage from Suva to Nuku'alofa, (sometimes Ha'apai), Vava'u, Niue, Pago Pago, Apia and back to Suva was about 12 days and as every stop had a Burns Philp store I had an agency to service. Someone had to do it!!

Tony, if you would kindly transfer this to Trivia Forum I can add a bit more about the voyage and places in those days. I also have photos.
