    Default Price of a Pint

At the last budget (April) the goverment in their wisdom reduced by 1p a pint the price of Beer/Lager .
My local "Green King owned" has just increased the price of a pint by 6p & 11p for different ales not as you would expect 5p or 10p respectivley.
At the time the goverment were applauded for this, alas somehow I get the impression that the goverment were in fact assisting the Brewers.
    Funny that ain't it.

Hi shipmates, Hi graham,Thats not what happen in The Budget that was a joke, a one pence off means you have to drink 10 pints to get 10p? in most pubs price per pint £2 40+ or more. You are lucky the week after the 1p off in the club, I go to the price of beer, was put up14 pence, and wine 40 pence a bottle and 20 pence a shot on the shorts They dont call it the CONS Club for nothing. The green king chain gives many discounts to the customer and are very good value.

    Default Which cons club:

Always nipped into the Newport Rd, Rumney Cons club, to catch up with a few mates, they all go to to the Castle Bingo on Newport Road now, best prices just have to put up with bingo: Always found the Les Croupiers casino club on St. Mary street the best value in town.

There was a time when a pint cost cost about two bob and tasted like beer, now not so sure.
We get a lot of imported English and European beers here most of the not worth a cracker. they have a very odd flavour and are very gassey.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

Hi shipmates, Hi Keith my barry buddy, Hi happy john in oz Hi keith my mate Laurie cant do any stairs' at the moment broke his hip and elbow in fall down stairs, The U.S.M. have been there a few times over the years he would need a bosuns' chair to do them stairs in the best of times he is allmost 88years I could try to carry him but if I dropped him his mrs Betty would not be very happy with me? Hi Happy john in oz two bob a pint? that was a long time ago? we must be the same age? British beer most of it dont travel well a brewer once told me its about fermentaion in barrels and such like stuff, the best way to drink any real beer in at a local bar, if you dont like it you can take it back.
