With regard to guys with no experience of the sea, if you get a chance to buy a book (its on Amazon, but very expensive), its called Shrimpy, and the follow up is Shrimpy sails again, by Shane Acton. One incredible story by an ex marine, buys a 16ft plywood boat, no engine, and sails round the world which takes 7 years, and many experiences on the way. Anyone reading this book will , i am sure, take your hat off to him. He never had to be rescued once, one hell of a seaman. KT

Hi shipmates, My dentist and his wife done the sail around the world on a Yacht, both were very keen sailors, sold up the business/home and departed for trip of a life time? Never hear from them again ?or got a postcard? nothing on the news. Will try to find out.
