TJ Harrison's Dry Rain
Working down below the hatch on one of TJ Harrisons ships in the Canada Dock in Liverpool in the late 1970s.The cargo we were working on was drums of oil,at number one hatch any way it started to snow heavy,we never got any weather protection gear to wear.We all got out the hatch( the gang Holdsman) and went in the soup kitchen near the ship and wait until it stopped. The ships boss and Captain Abbot came in and said get back down the hatch that Snow his dry rain.Anyway it eased off and he gave us Boiler Suit each.It could only happen on the Docks.Ken.R634898.
