    all my 10 years at sea were over the holidays so I must have saved a bundle on presents many times not getting back until mid year , I also have found the season to be pretty boring now ,as have seen to many ,so we just go too the kids houses and home by 9 .I usualy start my daily beer fest at 4/30 too 8/30 then off to the old bunk.have had to many good old times in my youth ,so cant better them .so have too say( BAH HUMBUG )to season to be merry . OH jeepers must be gettin old and cranky.

    Re~20 and Stewart using "Amber Nectar" to describe what is most likely the finest spitit ever invented(apart from a spirit that shares its bame with a certain famous general).
    Amber Nectar was and always will be Necastle Brown Ale, unfortunatley the do not bre the real Amber anymore (the one with the blue label).
    Hope you all ahd a belly filling, alcohol filled day. We had 17 for dinner and no arguements, how strange is that!

    Going back to the original post in this thread although a heartwarming story its another of them things the internet is famous for and totally misleading the name of the author and the store are about the only true facts here

    Yes the book was written by a bob may who did read the story to his children to see if it was suitable and interesting for them no point writing a book if nobody wants to read it

    Lady's in my area can booze all year round for England wont mention any names. They were walking down my road a few years ago said hello all the best Terry, We have decided not to have a drink until New Years eve. The thing was it was the 5th of January Terry.

    I sat on my front door step with Skeeter my mate and threw a few coldies down in the company of Merle haggard, Jimmy Buffet, and Perry Como!way to go.
