    Default Kennedy assassination...case closed.

On a recent thread a passing reference was made about the assassination of J.F.K., and the merest suggestion of a cover-up, or currently, secret information being held to be released far in the future. This gives a hint of a possible conspiracy.

I have a copy of "The Official Warren Report on the Assassination of President John F. Kennedy." It is an 889 page tome including appendices and footnotes; I have read it twice.

Chapters cover the "Planning of the Presidential Texas trip," to "The Autopsy". Every detail was examined from birth to the death of Lee Harvey Oswald, for example: " personal finances, military training, skill level with weapons, and international travel."

Jack Ruby a.k.a "Jack Rubinstein": Details from his childhood, life in Chicago, relocation to Dallas, examination of possible organized crime connections, association with the Dallas Police Department, even his affection for dogs. Appendix XV111 has a polygraph examination by the FBI and Dallas Police... at the request of Jack Ruby!

There are 31 pages examining "Speculation and Rumors" (pages 637-668). One of particular interest is a witness claimed to have seen " a man in a long coat running away from an overpass/bridge", which the Precedent's cavalcade had passed under; then had made a slight turn in front of the Texas Book Depository, where the shots had come from. The Secret Police are charged with the protection of the President; the FBI with overall security, and the Dallas Police Department with route and traffic security. Access to every bridge or overpass was blocked off to both pedestrian and vehicular traffic, and at least two policemen were stationed on each overhead. "Patrolmen Foster and White"had security command of that bridge, in addition, there were "13 railway workers". All were authorized, and no one left the bridge or ran, and all swore no one else was on or near the bridge.

Sworn statements by experts, both military and civilian, that three shots were not difficult to make in the allotted time with one bullet being in place ready to, fire and two more fired within seven seconds. Two out of three bullets were hits, and it was stated that especially "with a scope and a decent knowledge of weapons this would be expected". Oswald had U.S Marine Corps training in firearms, his military records show 2 points above minimum for a marksman and 1 below minimum to qualify as a sharpshooter. His former military commander said his folder did not state the weather or other conditions, therefore, he could not comment on why Oswald did not make sharpshooter qualification, in any case he had the skill level and this made him a far better shot than a civilian counterpart and better than average in the marines.

The Death of Lee Harvey Oswald:

While attempting to escape after assassinating J.F.K., Oswald, resisting arrest, shot and killed a Dallas police officer. He was apprehended 35 minutes later and arrested for the murder of Patrolman Tippet, He was held in custody at the Dallas Police Department, third floor. Twelve hours later he was additionally charged with the murder of J.F.K.. The following night of November 24th, a press conference was held in a small BASEMENT assembly room, 70 to a 100, press; TV, police and unauthorized individuals-- including Jack Ruby-- packed the room to overflowing, and with Oswald in the place of honor (?) it was broadcast live across the U.S.A..

The next day detectives of the Dallas Police escorted Oswald from the third floor --by elevator--down to the basement, intending to transfer Oswald to a more secure facility-- the Dallas City jail. A very short walk from the elevators led to a loading dock, which was reached by a down- ramp from 1st Street and continued up a ramp that led to an exit into a second street. Decoy cars including an armoured truck as well as the actual vehicle for the transfer were parked at the loading dock and waiting. Jack Ruby stepped out of a crowd of by-standers...and the next act is part of history.

    Who was Jack Ruby?

His birth to young adult years was spent in Chicago. He was a small time hoodlum and gambler, with no known ties to organized crime. He twice attempted to avoid the draft in WW11; then was drafted into the U.S. Air force and stationed in the U.S. as a mechanic. Years later, at the urging of his sister, he relocated to Dallas, eventually becoming the owner of a night club/strip bar. He would let off-duty police into his club and waived the cover charge and on occasion would provide free drinks--a common practice (my comment, he sounded like a typical cop-wanna-be).
It was assumed that either pure luck, due to the chaotic nature of events and the easy access to the basement of the Dallas Police department, plus evidence of Ruby's familiarity with the basement area-- vis a vis the previous days attendance at the press conference-- drew him to the confrontation with Oswald.

Who were and what was the Presidential Commission?

Remember the times...U.S.S.R. has the atomic bomb...Bay of Pigs fiasco...Soviet ships turned back at the last minute, loaded with rockets, a face to face stare down between Kennedy and Khrushchev (?)...Not the best of times. Rumors in the States where flying...The press were having orgasms.... A coup, a conspiracy, the mafia, Fidel Castro. The news agencies, audio, visual and written were having a field day and making money. Conspiracy books were being printed almost daily. even t.v. "comics" were became pundits on secret plots and outrageous theories that soon became thought of as truism i.e. "the grassy knoll." There wasn't any twitter, e-mail, computer, cell phone in those days. just a reliance on newspapers, t.v. and radio and word-of-mouth. Add to it that it was not in a Capital city but a regional city with not so sophisticated systems and manpower.

    The Commission:

President Lyndon B. Johnson by Executive Order ordered the following to cooperate unconditionally with each other and the commission. The direct responsibility being from the top down, (example J Edgar Hoover for the FBI). FBI, CIA, all federal and state law enforcements, The Departments of State, Justice, Labor, Immigration and Naturalization, Inland Revenue Service, in fact every government agency and all branches of the military, including The Coast Guard.

Ozzie, Kiwis,Cannucks and Brits please take a moment and imagine,God forbid, that a similar tragedy had befallen your country. This was 1963, and again there were no cell phones, e-mails, twitters. This act was not in your capital city but in a regional city. Now as I introduce the Warren Committee, drop in representatives from your respective countries. Chief Supreme Court Earl Warren, the head of the preeminent court of the land. The Committee: 2 Democrat and 2 Republican senators and two Democrats and Republicans from congress; a former Director of the CIA (MI 5 or 6 in the U.K.); a former Governor of Georgia, a former Asst. Sec. of War, WW11, and later U.S. High Commissioner for Germany and the balance national renown attorneys. Oh! almost forgot, one of the congressmen was Gerald Ford, one day to become our President.. The General Counsel was headed by the former Solicitor General of the U.S. and the Council was made-up of 14 of the nations top attorneys, one of whom became a senator from Pennsylvania. There were 12 staff members, lawyers and investigators. The council and aides were equally divided between our two political parties.

There were 553 witness called before the committee and every aspect of the case was examined from Oswald's school teachers to the escorting detectives at the time of his death.

Now I asked you to transpose the committee to one of your countries and you could throw-in H.R.H. Prince Charles. Now imagine your list plus the Commission, council and aides, FBI, CIA et al keeping quiet about a conspiracy for 49 years. The first to expose this well kept secret would become an instant billionaire, books, movies, speaking engagements etc., it makes one's head swim. But alas, other than Olive Stone(Hollywood's answer to Donald Trump, plus I'm told his movie stank) and his money grubbing ilk...nothing! My final comment to any doubters. The Warren Committee was made up of public servants (snouts at the trough) can you possible dream they could stay quite with all that money on the table? My case against a conspiracy rests.

    Cheers, Rodney

P.S. A quick story about Robert Kennedy.

My first job in the U.S. was in 1962 as a banquet cook in the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. I can still close my eyes and visualize the banquet kitchen layout where "Bobbie" was shot. It was a common practice for politicians attending fund raisers, to vacate their suite and use a service elevator into the kitchen and enter the banquet room, the Ambassador ballroom, entering through swing doors used by the wait staff, the Ambassador Ballroom seated 2500. for banquets. They would vacate the ballroom the same way but usually leave the kitchen via the loading dock where transportation was waiting to go on to the next event or to the airport.

I was an Executive Chef of another property when Robert Kennedy was shot. I will never forget it. I had won first prize for a "Complete Buffet" in a West Coast Culinary Arts Contest. That night my gold award had been presented to me at a dinner at the Baltimore Hotel. I had just returned to my seat when the M.C. said over the microphone to the attendees, "I have good news for you...Bobbie Kennedy has been shot".
There was stunned silence, en-mass the assembly, Democrats and Republicans alike silently gathered their coats and left. I remember one crying woman saying "Please God...not again." The M.C. was a fellow executive chef, he was dropped from all Chef organizations and shortly left Los Angeles. Shades of those two twits in Oz

Speculation will still abound as to why Jack Ruby, or any other known criminal, would be allowed in the same are as a man accused of killing the presiden?
Speculation will also abound as to who realy killed the president, if not Oswald ,and why?
By allowing Ruby to kill oawald there would be no trial, and with no trial maybe no truth!
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Kennedy had just put the Russians in their place making them back away from putting nukes in Cuba and just may be he did not want to get involved with vietnam after being a serving officer in the navy and new the french never got anywhere if the communist Chinese and the Russians teamed up that would be a new ball game and the American way of life would have gone forever.ad together the business of arms deals and you make powerful enemies on your own door step. but there is still more questions than answers{but we will never know}jp
