Dont forget our very own John Precott is a STAR. always on TV. In the news about his Boxing Prowess and his love making with his Secretary.
and the large amount of Pies he scoffs. Sailed in Cunard and NZSC.
Here he is in Action, as a Steward and as freeloader on QE2 asleep in the Queens Room

Thanks had not realised Chubby was at sea:

    Roy Chubby Brown, Middlesbrough

Royston Vasey was born in Middlesbrough, in the steel town of Grangemouth in 1946

He left home at 14, then lived rough until joining the merchant navy among various other jobs. Got into the working men's clubs in the 50s, first as a drummer, then evolved a comedy act.

He appeared on Opportunity Knocks in the 70s and came fourth. He has built up a dedicated following, even though the nature of his material has kept him off TV. Sales of his videos and audio tapes are phenomenal.

    Hiya Charlie and Brian,

I knew Tommy Lawless when he worked down here in Dover on the ferries around 1971/72. We all lived at the YMCA as you couldn't live on board. It was full of Scousers, I was the only Manc.. We all had a great laugh, there were some characters living there among them Eddie Westhead, Stan Black, Bobby Garrity (Bubbles), Barry Cavanagh, Jimmy Welsh, two brothers Tony and Gerry ???, and a few others whose names I can't remember now. I always thought that Tommy looked like George Peppard from the "A" Team.

I also sailed with Jimmy Grace on the Manchester Faith in 1962. I used to get Christmas cards from him until a couple of years ago. He was living in NZ around the Bay of Plenty area.

Her indoors is at home at Wallsend: My life of late has been pretty much up a gum tree, but getting sorted, then a post about Chub's.

Did Blackpool a few years ago and saw the f£t bloke on / for my birthday, after seeing this post found the fat batard is doing it again on my party night, Currently seeking tickets and should stay with friends in Wigan.

Chubby is a bit like the Oz - Kevin B. Wilson but more local.
