Neville, ain't that the truth, when my first wife died from cancer twenty years ago, I made a substantial "anonymous" donation to the local hospital who had looked after her to enable them to buy a piece of equipment they were lacking. Whether anonymous or not you still have to sign the cheque, my name must have been circulated around all and sundry with the number of phone calls and letters received shorly afterwards. Some of them were downright rude stating if I could afford to give a large sum to a hospital I must be in a position to give them a large donation. I had given all I could initially and it put me off donating for the rest of my life. I only give to "Lifeboats" now.

Most if not all aboard this ship would never have had a life at sea without a seamans union, It was the unions that had the foresight to force the shipowners to employ the young Deck and Catering lads to carry on the Merchant Fleet. This also applied to all industries this country new as household names. Dare i mention that witch {THATCHER} Another Tory who was the start of to much privatisation and demolishon of quite a few unions not just the miner,s. All of a sudden this Tory led government have realised there are kids leaving school that would have been given apprenticeships by the said unions, And British institutions sold off by both Tory and Labour Governments. Any elections in the western world is the same as the rise to fame of some of our so called celebrity music groups etc. Regardless of any talent or otherwise depends on one person a Good P.R. man. All the politicians rely on is good propoganda. They must be the most misbelievalable people in the World today, and most people know that, so vote for whom they believe will do the least damage.What gets me is that they have the nerve to chastise other countries on their political management and views. Couple of things Ted, apprentices are now very few for a variety of reasons, here in Oz the Unions wanted first years ones to get up to 75% of a fully trained person.
Secondly the biggest problem as I see it is the German Cahncellor who in my opinion wants to be King, or maybe queen of Europe. she is demanding austerity measuresd until all countries have pai their debt, it will not work. Consider this, you have a credit card debt but are not working, how do you pay it off? Until countries begin to work again, and i see there is a call for Greece to go to a six day working week, there will never be the funds to pay the national debt. Employment brings in tax for the gov, without it they cannot opperate. why is the EU and other such organisations loaded up with such idiots? Because the trough is bigger there!

I have absolutely nothing against the mentioned person. I bear no sour grapes against anyone with money, the best of luck to them. As regards the mentioned person she appears to have worked with her Father as hard as most people on this site. No doubt she has given money to various charities and other unfortuanate people, which most of us have never done to the extent that she probably has. I would say she has done as much good to this world as anyone else, she is perfectly at liberty to express her views regardless of whose feathers she ruffles. She gets plenty back in retiurn.Her family business re children etc. is her own business and she has to suffer that being brought out by the vulgar media, at least she has the guts to fight back. Politicians try and use her and her wealth as an example to take the heat away from their own useless lives filled with bad mistakes re the use of the peoples money. Even if she had been born with a silver spoon in her mouth, which looking at her history she wasnt, it is still hers to use as she sees fit. This is what we call democracy. I still think he should push it but has made one mistake he should also include that lying barsteward John Howard as well. The three of them should be before the court Bush, Blair and the bonsai (Howard).

The main problem as i see it is the fact she is exercising her right ti freedom of speech. But as is always the case in such matters members of the gov do not like such comments, nor do some of the public. But freedom of speech is there for all and must never be denide.
