Thanks Neville that about sums up my views on your politics but not being there or having to live under it I can only guess. That is why I said I would like to see Obama win just to keep peace where the other one will do a Bush and rush into Iran. Reagan did a lot of damage all round and had Maggie licking his boots like Blair did with Bush. Watched a program made by Mike Moor about the finance starting with how they made Reagan a puppet to the big banks and kept it up from there until today. Not a lover of Moors shows but it was an eye opener to the extent that according to him even pilots in the USA have to get a second job to survive on their wages all due to Reagannomics I think it was called. Only used Pilots wages as an example as there seem's to be many others in the same position. What he pointed out is that there is only 1% of the population in control of the purse strings and there handycap is that they only have 1% of the vote and are trying to alter that problem to deny the other 99% a say in how the country is run. That sums up capitalism to a tee.

i am always suspicious of statistics, they always seem to improve just when politicians need them to improve. Always remember the old Jasper Carrot quote, 30% of road accidents are caused by drunken drivers, so 70% caused by sober drivers, statistics then must prove its safer to drive pi**ed !!!!!! KT

Has anyone heard anything about the UN looking at taking Bush and Blaire to court over the Iraq invasion. Now this is from memory so full of doubt but think it is Koffee Armin (see I can not even write his name) doing it. Just a snippet on the TV the other day but probably be hushed up real quick.

I take your point on board fully and agree with you, But it has never happened in the U.K Before were ordinary people have turned to handouts for shoe,s for there kids to return to school/ Hungry mouths were you either heat or eat working or not ? And a government still handing out £1.000.000s in aid to third world country,s this has to change m8 along with a few other things. We may be in a double dip here but i am lost as to why this government wont change tack on its policies. We are a very wealthy country John make no bones about it. But until the Capitalists in this country start creating growth and real jobs with realistic wages, For our younger generation they are on a hiding to nothing.Lets not forget labour were in power under Blaire for a number of year,s and Gordon brown got this country out of recession once before Now i am no lover of either government,s but dont be under any illusions that this governments polocies are the way forward to bring down this country,s deficite that they inherited. What goes around comes around as the saying goes. Years ago the elite had the upper hand by supressing the working class to the level of slavery. The people revolted by forming unions which tipped the scales in favour of the working class untill they dangled the carrot in front of the supposed middle classes with promises of a better life if only we could get rid of the union power. They fell for it hook line and sinker to the extent there are still a few on site with the same attitude thinking that they are way above the working man and not realising that they are now heading towards the working poor or unemployed. I think RLT has said it correct that there will end up martial law in the streets before once again the people start uniting into groups similar to the old union system. What better way to control the population than having them either in a bread queue or so much in debt that they have to touch the forlock every time they pass an ATM.

There has been a lot said about rhinheart and her wealth and personally she is welcomed to it. There is no reason on earth why she can not employ African labour at $2 a day as she states. In fact I am all for it so long as she buys the mine in Africa. Simple is it not.

The wealth of a country is built from the bottom up , I remember that Henry ford got the idea that if he gave his asembly line workers a raise, they could afford to buy his cars . so went the rest of the companies. until he unions started to gain power . after wwii the i bill gave all veterans a fee college education . and the economy took of with the building of the suburbs, and the American dream was started ,a house in the suburbs a car ,wife and kids .and of course the British war debt, wich the US got the last payment in 1976.the US is still the richest countryin the world, but you would not think so if you were in some of the neigborhoods , of any city in the nation . so much money around and so much poverty ,very sad to see multi millionaires avoiding taxes ,and beggars on the streets . I made the mistake of giving to charity and now our mailbox is full of mail from companies looking for donations. I think they all work together and let it be known that they have another sucker on the hook . OH well thats enough for today.tarar ladfs . :cool:
