    Default Model of Ship!!!

Not necessary a Nautical question but! (Well in a way i suppose it is ??)
I have been looking on the Net for quite some time now for a Model of either the Winchester or Sterling Castles,so far no luck!
Today however i came across an old Wooden Type Jigsaw Puzzle of the Winchester Castle,it looks good but is still not what i am after!
(I will also however be looking at buying it)
    So the question is!
Is there anyone who may know of a place or someone who would have a Model (to build) of the above Ships!?
    Thank you in anticipation!
    Cheers

Just one thing is that i cannot afford too much like Hundreds of Pounds !
But a reasonable ammount i certainly would look at!

Vernon you just missed out mate. For 100 a few years ago you could have got the real thing from the knackers yard. Suggest you try to Google some kit form items.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

How about making one out of matchsticks Vernon. Have seen some wonderful models out there made with just matchsticks and glue and a lot of patience of course. I recently made a marquetry picture out of my first ship ~ the Hardwicke Grange. Not very expert but very enjoyable none the less.

    Hi Vernon,

A model of the Winchester Castle is available from a company here in the U.K. called Wirral Miniature Ships.
The model is cast in resin and is ready for painting, the scale is 1/1200, length approx 7" and costs £13.00 unpainted. With the model comes instructions on what colours to use for the various parts of the ship. With the exception of the masts the ship comes in one piece so no assembly is needed. However you can get WMS to paint it for you but the cost would be about £35.00 It was Tony Wilding who put me on the way to going about obtaining these miniature ships and now have about 50 of them all hand painted by myself.
The full address of the company is as follows:-
    A.H.Models
    24 Broadland Road,
    Great Sutton,
    Ellesmere Port
    Cheshire
    CH66 2JS United Kingdom
    e-mail:- AlanHmodels@virginmedia.com

Hope the above is of some use to you Vernon.
    Regards,
    John
