    Thumbs up neville

I think the oldest boy should get it and keep it in your family name ,hand it down too the next of kin . dont let em touch it until they are 21 .a magnificent model .

To date they are my thoughts exactly problem is my oldest grandson is my daughters Someone is going to be disappointed or maybe i could always flog it and invest the dosh between them which i dont want to do. I am at sixes and sevens and i wouldn't mind i am planning on going know where for quite a while yet more miles on the clock yet lads Regards and cheers Terry.p.s. When i finished the ship i went to a good model shop i visit regularly i gave them the measurements asked them if they could build me a case and at what cost ? No problem hardwood case and base beaded i have added brass fittings around the base which enhances its maritime appeal Cost for case £800 i nearly fell over. I got a Glaser friend to build me the glass case and silicone it tight. Paid him £40 Paid £60 for the mahogany base and beading. And my good friend aboard this ship and neighbour John Pruden routed the base to fit the case. Cheers John i know i still owe you four pair of high heels : for you women's charity i havnt forgot mate:cool

    Default 4 Vernon Model Ships

    Hi Vernon,

Sent you a private PM but I don,t think it went. Just to say glad you managed to order the items you wanted and they were happy to ship to you. Many thanks for your Christmas wishes and it goes without saying they are recipricated. We have family arriving from New York on the 20th for Christmas and more family coming from Norway on the 27th so a busy time ahead.
Any problems re painting get in touch. I am sure Tony Wilding would be glad to advise as well.
    Regards,
    John C.

    Default That Model Ship

Is that a Port Line copy or am I imagining it It is similar to the Port Fairy Circa 1928.
