Default Trinder Anderson - MV Limerick

I’m trying to find if there are any colleagues of my father in law (Gordon Reynolds) out there? He served as a Junior engineer on MV Limerick on a couple of runs to Australia in the 1962 to 1964 period.
Sadly, he passed away on Sunday and but I am hoping that someone out there who remembers him from his MN days is on the forum.

Hi I joined the mv Limerick in July 1964 as a junior engineer. I had just finished serving my time as an apprentice engineer with Trinder Anderson and it was going to be my first trip since. The 'Limerick was in Hamburg and at a London train station I saw a guy dressed in full uniform with junior engineer stripe and Trinders cap badge.
I introduced myself and his name was Gordon (cannot remember the surname). We then travelled together and joined the ship In Hamburg and did one round trip to Oz then dry dock in Cardiff. This particular Gordon was blonde curly hair and not very tall. This trip was the first trip for him hence wearing his full uniform to travel to join the the ship

Hi it's me again. I have now spotted the photos you posted of your father in law and I recognise Gordon. He had a very good sense of humour and fun to be around. If you have his discharge book you will see that his first trip commenced in Hamburg on the 7th July 1964 arriving back in Liverpool 18th December and he possibly paid off in Cardiff on the 23rd December 1964. I stayed on in drydock with the Chief steward and third mate until January 20th and paid off prior to emigrating to New Zealand.
I think that the 'Limerick was going to Hull after I left before continuing to Oz and Nz.
Gordon probably rejoined her there. Gordon was certainly good to be around and his humour was infectious. Cheers Roger

Hi Marshall did you ever get my reply about your father in law Gordon. I did sail with him in 1964 and it is a shame that I was unable to catch him before he sadly passed away. Roger Metcalf
