Not having eaten Rat I will take your word for it.

    A to buck shot.
Many years ago working as a relief chef for a catering company I was sent to an office block for a couple of weeks.

The catering manager was a bit of a 'wide' boy and thought he could earn a quid for himself.
To save money he bought a block of frozen Rabbits in a consignment from China.
We cooked it and it was served up.

Cost the company a good amount of money, repair to teeth both real and dentures was expensive.
In the prep we could not see the Buck shot, but eating it was a different story.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

John, maybe you should re phrase that to "not knowingly eaten rat"

Are you sure you weren’t reading that from the inside which would have read kcub which was the reason prompting you to interpret it , whenever you got the time ? Cheers JS

All fish livers went into the basket for boiling except Halibut livers. those livers belonged to the bosun. He kept the livers in a large baked bean tin and handed over to a guy on the Fleetwood dock for cash. I believe the privilege of getting the halibut livers was because the other two navigators (the skipper and mate,) got a percentage of the catch rather than poundage.
