Today was shopping day Graham and saw no shortage of eggs. However have also seen the reports in the media about the same. Must be wickileaks has decided to target Australia about stories before they happen. Now I wonder ! Home is the hunter and the stirrer home from the hills and the hunter home from the sea. Maybe instead of sea would be house of sanctuary be more appropriate ?.
.The sea being only metaphoric that is. Cheers JS.

    Hi Graham.
Probably a bit of misreporting in the Press. We have had in Victoria and Mew south Wales a spread of bird flue in some of the big egg producers, they have had to destroy hundreds of thousands of Chickens, There is now a chicken farm in Canberra that has it but no sign of them destroying the birds just yet. It is spread by wild birds, nothing the Authorities can do about it, but they quarantine the farms. There are as Vernon and John says no shortage of eggs, but thanks for the offer. All those poor birds,

Here in Victoria the supermarkets have put a one pack per shop limit on.
Half a million chooks euthanized due to a bird Flu outbreak.
Will be over three months before regular supply returns.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

    John.
Since the cold weather set in I have been feeding around thirty Kurrawong;s every morning, had a word to them this morning, said, " hope all you birds have had your jabs this year". As you know bloody big birds.
