    HI Mike .
Wonder what happened when the skipper said, "let go Fora'd". I suppose it was, "today not tomorrow".

Bet the eye of the second rope is not through the eye of the first one. Not that it would make much difference in this case. What is required is a seaman with a sharp Green River.
Or maybe a fire axe tucked under his belt. JS

Or maybe just a seaman who knows how to do it.
    Tie up correctly that is.

Reminds me of the old saying " if you can't tie knots, tie lots".

Or a knot is a knot when it’s in a rope , but also a ship makes them in the water. JS

But a knot is not always what it appears to be.
Tied up in knots is not the best way to be, but that is not for the seaman who knows his knots.

Even Shakespeare knew that, to be or knot to be that is the question. JS
