Clearing out the loft I came across these 314BC0E3-5814-4584-8659-BFD5F2C7EA00.jpg. Now to find the crib board that I always used to carry. Spent many an evening playing with these. Some trips we would organise darts, crib, dominoes tournaments.

Loved all three Games , Cribbage being my choice of Card games. Dominoes was one of those Games that was always played in Pubs as well, very Popular all over the Uk. Darts i also liked a lot and played many a game through my Years!

But Oh! the Cribbage the best of the lot for me. 15/2 15/4 etc etc

Taught my wife on a transatlantic cruise, first time a jack was turned I said to her that's one for his knob, I wasn't allowed to call that again. We still play on our cruises, often getting a few enquiries as to what we are playing.

Hi Micheal.
On tankers where there was a big lounge room there was always a rush to et the dinner, and then a rush for a seat at the cribbage table, or to play 500, it was made more interesting if there was a card or two missing.
Years ago we used to visit the Casino in Sydney, one could get three or four packs of cards all new but with a hole punched in the middle, as they only used the pack once, we still have three packs.

Michael. Have never though why it was one for his Nob. From the Oxford Dictionary. nob, n.Head (sl.) (cribbage) knave of same suit as turn-up (one for his~, point scored for it).

Loved crib especially doubles. Not played it in years great game. Had one partner a chief engineer what a sad barstawrd if we lost, some times I would deliberatly play a wrong card just to see the steam coming out of his ears lol.
