There was a new version on SBS a few months back.
Not a bad version but maybe not with the same effect on the young as the original.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

#107 It’s not called a pension out here Cappy, the OAP comes from the government , it comes from your employer who assists you in saving for retirement and applies to every permanent worker , it’s called Super and up to you how you use it . I used mine to buy a block of land and building a house .was there for 20 years but the garden got too much so sold it and moved into a village where a gardener cuts the lawns every fortnight . Plus there are all the amenities plus a couple of members only bars , plus a gym for all the Charles Atlases , and two swimming pools , tennis courts , bowling greens , am just waiting and at the next residents meeting am going to suggest we get a Japanese bath house and sauna in for us older fellows ,with of course the accompanying female therapists to give those who require the wax treatment to their ailing bodies..Why look for a new place to live. ? Cheers Tomorrow Wednesday again and have to brave the Bingo night and eat their honey chicken and fried rice , and of course drink the pint of beer waiting at the table, I only drink that so I get the tickets for drawing the ace of spades which now stands at $1000 and only 15 cards left in the pack. Cheers hope you and Pat ok. JS ..
PS you’ll have to get Louis to tell you about his cousin Spanish Fly he drinks a lot of cervaza that’s right ain’t it Louis , drank his fortune away. Cheers JS

    Hi John.
We go up the RSL about three times a week for dinner, I like Mondays $8 fish and chips, which we very seldom pay cash for, as we have points put on our members card which we use, we use the card the same for any meal. I last payed for a beer about 18months ago as I had forgotten my card, we can also get a free mug of coffee.
The only bad thing coming up is that I have only two free refills on our Govt petrol cards,, then I have to pay, but still; two years of free petrol isn't bad, and the refills should last us around three months, our small Suzuki only uses about a pint a day.
