Des, think those who go to Rugby may be a bit more civilized.
Not like the Frogs and they way they treat others, must think they are something special.
if it were a team where their fans are called ultras imagine thousands rioting in paris and it would have been the fault of the crowd control? jp
Agree, but Des there was no crowd trouble there was trouble that the CRS & Gendarmes caused. Also the French police have a history of being thugs.
(Gendarmes) a paramilitary police officer in France and other French-speaking countries.
Since mini Macron became President the French police have been kept very busy by the gilets jaunes.
Maybe it would be better if such international finals were played at nuteral grounds.
The French then could maybe stay out of it.
the cops were waiting for a re action but turning tables over with drinks on them and pepper spraying children the frence were lucky it never all kicked of there FIFA should take action and never to play a final there again? jp
Uefa has issued an apology to Liverpool and Real Madrid supporters, as well as all other spectators caught up in the chaos at last weekend’s Champions League final in Paris. Uefa’s apology comes just days after they blamed the delayed kick-off at the Stade de France on the “late arrival” of Liverpool fans. I suppose that is as good as the fans are going to get. I don't believe that 40,000 Liverpool fans were late turning up for the start of the game. Also the Real Madrid fans got a pasting by the police as well. Liverpool and Real Madrid have joined forces to question UEFA & the French government. Cancel the Rugby world in France and move it to the home nations toss a coin to see who hosts the Final.
Stade de France failed again last night, fans struggled to gain entry for a football game involving the National Team.
