harley days
We are having our bike weekend here in Leesburg and are expecting 250,000 bikers ,some of the bikes are custom made and are realy out there, one that I saw was a boss hog with a v8 440 cubic inch motor ,that size engine could be in a long distance truck, this is a small town just north of orlando with about 22,000 inhabitants so you can imagine the impact of all those bikers

Hi Neville, I have seen DVDs of the Leesburg bike week, like the Isle of Man in TT week only much, much bigger, I have had bikes all my life but they didn't like being laid up while I was away, and by the time I got them running right my leave was up, at the moment I am running a Honda sidecar outfit, and now the weather is picking up the Dog and I will be gone somewhere every weekend, Harley Davidson, you either like 'em or you don't, but if they made airplanes would you fly in one ???
Phil.

Hi Phil, the old harley got abad name years ago but they have changed a lot , I used to have a bsa 250 while on leave and working by, but the dock roads in liverpool were pretty dangerous with the cobble stones when wet just have too touch the brakes and I was off it many a time. but there is nothing like the freedom when riding used to love it .

Bikes!
Hi Neville
If i recall there was another Post similar to this one last Year i think, but anyway i will have to lok the Big Meet up on the net,as it sounds great!\
We here in Penrith had a very large gathering of Bikes also last Year at the Lakes, and Panthers Club, there were about 12000 people to see this event, which by Penrith standards is a lot haha!
Cant recall just how amny there were, but it was a heck of a lot of Bikes!
In my Younger days i too had a fairly good Bike,a Matchless Twin 500 ,it was all Chrome except for the Saddle of course, quite a good runner and had a good top speed too!
As for Harleys, well the only time i ever rode one of those beasts was when i was in the Cape Town Traffic Dept,as a Traffic Cop,those had the gears like a car, with a lever change Shifter down the side!! Crazy they were but very comfortable, and very quick too!
Cant recall many Cars getting away from us haha!
Cheers
Enjoy your Bike Weekend!
Its ANZAC Day here today,so we here in Aus will be remembering those who fought and died for their Country!
We will Remember
Lest We Forget!
