Happy Birthday.
Perhaps your post could have been clearer, then we wouldn't be where we are.
As for your husbands comments, print them in full, if he needs your help
As for being a landlubber, I first went to sea at 13, retired from the marine industry at 73, so I hazard a guess that my marine experience may be a bit broader than you and your husband's combined.
If you want to be 'one of the lads' which seems to be your wont, then you have to take the rough with the smooth, we seamen respect women, myself included, but if you want to compete with the lads then you have to live with the brickbats that fly backwards and forwards and not play the wounded female card. You can't have it both ways, as you pointed out.

Re: We did this
Victoria you are totally wrong on the birthday wishes, they were meant in sincerity and totally separate from any other issues, perceived or real that may have arisen between us.
I have every respect for ALL the ladies on this site, I certainly admire your dedication to nursing and the nursing profession. Please have some respect for mine,
As for running to Doc, why on earth would I do that, I don't need to hide behind anyone.
If I may be so bold after some time on this site, no matter how many ferry voyages made, you still haven't learnt that seamen don't hold grudges, we move on, land based people tend to think, even if married to a seafarer that they know how we live at sea, they don't. One has to have worn the T-Shirt
Jim and Bob may argue like two scalded cats in the messroom, but five minutes later are up a swaying mast working together as one, each ones life dependent upon the other and instinctively know what the other needs to do the job safely, when they come down they don't resume the argument, the ship comes first.
Time to move on.

Re: We did this
Now Victoria, I have to agree you are far better looking than most of the lads so understand why you do not want to be one of them.
But as seamen we al loved, and still do, the ladies.
We are all crew on this great ship and at times we get on one anothers nerves,
But at the end of the day we go to the pig and are still good mates.
Happy daze John in Oz.

Sad to see, my local beaches are cleared before and after a day.
Sad to sea not what is washed up but, what is just left there,
People should take own trash home with them.
RNLI Kinsale
Shocking amount of broken glass among the rubbish at James Fort today, which has only appeared in last day or two. What kind of eejit would think it fun to smash bottles off the ancient walls where they know children will be playing. Dangerous, anti social behaviour and sad for the rest of us to think these people live in our beautiful town.

Yes Victoria, have a niece in London senior radiographer worked to death during the height of the Virus x raying patients non stop.
Her husband head of MTI in another, also full at it.
Have been lucky, only one scare back in 2013 had to call the Ambos.
Got me fixed up and so greatfull for their assistance wrote to Ambulance Vic expressing my thanks.
Got a very nice reply.
