Re: Vindi Boy.
Now Den, if like me you had gone there you would have done a week in the galley.
There you could learn how to make bread and Tab Nabs, real ones. LOL

Re: Vindi Boy.
Den, you could have been famous if you had not drunk the rum and used rum essence in the tab Nabs.
Had you gone to the Vindi you would also have learned how to make them without flour, eggs or fruit, well real fruit that is.
Happy daze John in Oz.

Hi John C.
I had completely forgotten that song, used to sing it down the mission.
Des
Sorry Den couldn't get it to play.

Hi Des makes you wonder just how long these songs were going, you were at the Vindi quite a few years before I was there, in 55.
Here's a couple more, hope you can remember these as well.
1/ We are some of the Vindi boys, we are some of the boys,
We know our manners, we flog our fags for tanners,
We are respected wherever we go, and as we go walking along the street
doors and windows open wide, open wide all the lads and lassies cry,
the Vindi boys are passing by, we are some of the boys.
2/ They say that on the Vindi the food is mighty fine, a roll fell of the table and killed a pal of mine,
Oh I don't want no more of Vindi life, Gee Ma I wanna go home,
They say that on the Vindi the beds are mighty fine, but how the hell do they know, the've never slept on min,
Oh I don't want no more of Vindi life Gee Ma I wanna go, but they wn't let me go, Gee Ma I wanna go home.
Ican still remember the tunes to these songs, so they may mean more to me, all the best Des, cheers
