Most of these problems come from the education of students, or rather the non education when it comes to history.
If they had been taught about these people they may be of a different mind.
Whilst some may have started out as slavers or similar, at a time when it was the norm, they later made great contributions to society.
The great claim here in Oz in the state parliament of Victoria there is a 'Green' female member who claims that there were millions of Aboriginals killed by the British, if that were true there would be none today as it is estimated there were only about 2 million here when Cook arrived.
She then went on to claim that the atrocities committed against the Aboriginals was worse than what Hitler did in WW2.!!!!!!!!
Such comments only add fuel to the fire, but looking at those who marched on Sunday here in Melbourne it was easy to see how many were students.
I know from my time in the Uni system that students will march for anything if you pay them. Known as 'Rent a mob' paid about $20 per march by the left wing organizers who only want one thing, their way.
But to those who claim the country was raped by the British I would say they should be thankful it was not the Spanish of the 15th century, Russia, japan or China at that time, they would not be marching in the street now that's for sure.
