It is mentioned in the bible,
in Egypt in the days of Moses 3000 years ago, Seven years good and Seven years of drought.

She should be in school or do they leave at 16yrs in her country. Someone has to be funding her ,she has been away from her home a while had to stay somewhere.
Better she does a science degree or similar so she can back up her claims with real facts.

I recall reading that her parents are with her, both are scientists of some description (I stand to be corrected), she also has an elder sister of the same mindset, so you can bet your bottom dollar a little brainwashing has been going on. Also a bit of an hyprocrite as another crew member had to be flown out to the USA to bring the catamaran back to this side, as USCoastguard said it was undermanned, something to do with passenger safety, read that on one of my nautical information sites, but cannot remember which one.

She may be a clever little girl, who knows, but she hasn't the life or commercial experience to spout the stuff that comes out of her blowhole, the expression comes to mind of the blind leading the blind, as the few scientific people I do know have no commercial nonce at all and wear blinkers governed by the specialist field they follow financed by the Govt, therefore us, and believe that Govt money is from a money tree and not supplied by us poor yoricks, the very people they berate, and commercial enterprises in taxes

She sails her yacht to all the protests and meetings so her Carbon foot print is less.
The she flies home with the yacht, what a load of hypocracy.
Then the protesters who want mining and other things banned as they say they are bad for the environment.
Where do they think their 'toys' will come from if we do so?

Oh silly me, of course just around the corner Father Christmas is coming.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

This is an interesting article on how to generate hydrogen in quantity that can be used to fire furnaces.

This is Australia Keith. Happens every year. Lots of these fires are left to run their course as we don't have the manpower or resources to battle them. Some are simply in inaccessible terrain for the crews battling them.
Saving people and doing their best to save homes are the priorities of the fire fighters. Other areas are watched but mostly left to burn out.
Too many councils are letting too many people build their homes in totally inappropriate areas. Not enough control burns are being done to reduce the build up of ground debris. The Indigenous people always did burn offs to maintain the grounds. That needs to be started again maybe under their guidence.
Of course don't forget a large number of these fires are deliberately lit, either accidently ( ignoring fire bans) or maliciously quite often by children.
A sad cycle but it is what it is...everyone pitches in and lots of home owners defend their homes.....most have what is called a "fire plan" and are usually notified when the authorities deem it necessary to implement.
We have had a bad few years with low rainfall so the smoke spreads far and wide, can't be helped.

Rellies in Oz sent me this link, hence wondered:

“Here we are in the worst bushfire season we’ve ever seen, the biggest drought we’ve ever had, Sydney surrounded by smoke, and we’ve not heard a boo out of a politician addressing climate change,” climate scientist Sarah Perkins-Kilpatrick told the British publication.

“They’re burying their heads in the sand while the world is literally burning around them and that’s the scary thing. It’s only going to get worse.”

All the Greens should be out in the bush helping to stop the fires.
They always stay at home in safety whinging about smoke, when they could be useful.
