Bay of Biscay in one hell of a gale.
Bought a load of beer, but all hands had their heds down.
Drank one alone, wished myself a Happy Birthday and turned in.
Made up for it at a later date.
    Den.

Exclamation big big hangover next day

hi shipmates, I was ashore at that time worst luck ever on my 21 birthday myself and a few mates were locked up by the police becuse we were drunk and disorderly got put , in a cell in cardiff That cost me £35 .00 and a trip to court had far too much southern comfort to drink and beer , an expensive night out on the town ? But a good night what I can remember.

    Default Port New Plymouth

Hi All. I have just looked up my records. and I was on the Port New Plymouth, as an Asst/ stwd ,sailed on the 6th August - 11th of December. The Captain came down to my cabin to wish me a happy birthday ( so I was told ) but I was flaked out on my bunk, I think we were in the Indian Ocean. Take care...... Terry
