Re: the indian corn man
#1... Keith about 1956 we were in Cochin, I was nightwatchman so was off during the day so used to go ashore. Being only 19 suppose was very impressionable . After seeing this young girl sitting on the kerb in the process of childbirth and everyone walking around her, believe she was one of the untouchables, so what , I also walked around her, which I have always regretted , and is one of the things I am ashamed of. I hopped into one of the ginshaws I believe called and told the bloke on the push bike to take me to a drink. He Took me to a place in the bush where they were drawing the sap from a tree and think it was wood gin.l later saw one of those Indian fortune tellers who told me I was going to die before I was 40 so told him if he could see into he future he should already know I wasn't going to pay him. Maybe he had seen me drinking this alcohol and thought he was on to a sure thing. Anyhow am still around at twice the age he forecast. Some things one remembers like yesterday but what did last week haven't a clue. Cheers JWS

Yeah Marian it was eucalyptus oil, the cloves was for a hot toddy. I have a bad chest infection at the moment, doctors tomorrow had this for nearly two weeks nothing shifting it.Just taking squeezed lemon juice and spoonful of honey, gunk I am bringing up is not good. I have dropped nearly 7kgs in 10 days. I am trying to lose weight but not this way 16kgs in in two months is to much.

Re: the indian corn man
You need a Hospital and an Xray, that is not a normal "bad chest". To lose over one stone in just over a week is not good.

Re: the indian corn man
Hi All.
Ladies and blokes with sqeesy stomachs, read no further.
There was one Indian guy who used to suck out boils, one day he was sucking this boil out of a big Ab,s backside when the AB farted, the Indian got up and slapped the AB across the face, and said if it's one thing I hate it's filth.
cheers Des

Re: the indian corn man
I had a few corns removed by the so called Indian Corn Man in Calcutta about 1950. It was a great success but I thought he used the small tip of a goats horn.

Re: the indian corn man
I have seen that trick done by a bloke in Calcutta who appeared to use the stem of a Biro pen .
