Marian you only get 15yrs for bloody murder ? In all honesty through thick and thin, joy and sorry, it seems like yesterday......I wish it was tomorrow....................I wouldn't turn up :th_thth5952deef:
Ah Terry that's a terrible 'ting' to be saying about your goodlady:)
well your right Marian...........She has kept me going with lemon drinks and soups over the past few weeks, Would have been better if she had opened them first ????? Terry.
This one I miss in life now is the sudden death of my wife of 64 years just over a year and a half now
Lou my dear Friend
Yes indeed it must be so difficult for you as so many good Years together must have been Heaven, unfortunately at some stage we all will have to deal with it,be it the Male or the Female.
Let us just pray that time will heal ,and although I know something like that can never ever be forgotten, perhaps we can at least have the remaining Years at peace!
God bless you my Friend !
Cheers
Vernon
Lou, we have just recently had our 52 nd. anniversary. Although I moan at times, well nearly all the time, I would find it hard to live without her especially ashore. This was brought home to me yesterday when I had to take her to hospital yesterday for a pre op, before having to have a cancer spot removed off her forehead. Fortuanetly it is one of the best cancers if there is such a thing and is not life threatening. I have also had my sister staying here for the past 2 months with a broken foot as she recuperates. Living with 2 women of different natures I find very hard. Often wish I was still at sea and could go and close cabin door. The old saying you cant live with them and you cant live without them is very apt. However I do realize my wife is my mainstay, whoever goes first is in the lap of the Gods. I am sure your wife is still looking over you. A lot of people find this site a good way of getting things off your chest, as is just like the old days at sea, where everyone knew everyones business in a different kind of way, as there always seemed to be safety in numbers when stuck out in the middle of the ocean. Take care Lou, you always have your good memories. Regards John S.
Thanks John although it was 64 years it was not all a bed of roses ,there were a few times by suitcase would be sitting by the door but it never lasted but we always made up
No marriage is Lou. Those that insist theirs is a bed of Roses I have my doubts about. You stuck together that is the main thing. Nowadays if a marriage goes past 7 years ( 7 year itch some might say) it is considered a success. Cheers John S.
