Need help going back to sea
HI
i have done a edh with p&o in 1998 and have a discharge book and eng1 certificte but dont know what to do about going back to sea can anyone help me plaese

One of my regrets of leaving the Merch when I did, was being only a few months short of the 'sea time' to qualify for ABs ticket - rising from Deck Boy to AB was a mix of exams and 'sea time', I'd done all the exams, just needed that bit more time.
Whenever anyone asks me what I did in the Merch, I say Deckhand, but I'd much rather have been able to say AB

Try and get hold of the latest issue of the telegraph (Numast) you will find that EDH and ABs are in demand

NUMAST was the MNAOA and now it is NAUTILUS INTERNATIONAL.
It is the Merchant Navy Officers `Union` or Association, It has a news paper called the Telegraph which contains adverts for every type of job at sea.
