Re: Captains of SSGothic
#34 Ships always got bad names with the shipping Federation Des, when they had any trouble on board but instead of sending good steady men on crew change day, they used to send down to vessel any stirrers they had on their books to see if could palm off elsewhere. After the stabbing of the master on the Rosewood we had a crew change in Rotterdam and the only two retained was myself as mate, and the second engineer. The first night in port I picked up one of the ABs off the alleyway deck having a seizure. Got him to his bunk and he
Showed me the scars on wrists where he previously tried to commit suicide. And that was only one of them. I have no illusions to the former practices of some of the pools .In this case it was the well known London Dock Street one. Cheers JS.
