WSL Gothic 1893-1926 Built by Harland and Wolff for the White Star Line in 1893, Gothic worked the London to New Zealand run. After catching on fire and getting beached in 1906, she was repaired, converted to an immigrant ship, and transferred to the Red Star Line with the new name of Gothland. In 1911 she was transferred back to the White Star Line and renamed Gothic once again. After 3 years on the New Zealand run she went back to Red Star and again becomes Gothland. Now working the Antwerp to New New York run, Gothic became stranded on a rock formation in 1925. She was pulled out successfully but was scrapped the following year in 1926.
PS Is this the same Gothic in question??
