    Brilliant to see what the German people have done to my old ship. Can't believe that it is the same ship that was brought across the Atlantic those few years ago, in a very sorry state. John Cutts No. 62; Focs'le Port division; 1962-64. Must try and get to see her.

    Well John she appeared to be much larger when I was aboard her with 239 other lads at thirteen years old and bare feet, in 1958. all the best No. 123 top st R.

    Hi, I served on the Arethusa 1953/55, loved every minute !! Went aboard her in New York two different visits they would not let me go below, not surprising when I eventualy saw photos, the Americans did NOT take care of her. So pleased she is in Hamburg. For a few years I have belonged to the ' Arethusa Old Boys Ass' well worth joining.. Bob Hornsey 98
