    Default Vindi Web Site

The Vindicatrix web site will no longer be updated, since the Passing of the sites web bosun Robin Hurst in January, there is no one taking it on, it will be in sleep mode so that anyone wanting Class Pictures and details of the Vindi and area will be able to do so, a sad day for all ex Vindi boys.

Des mate, sadly a sign of the times.
All the older MN personell along with VIndi and others are slowly falling off the perch.
Soon there will be none left to keep the history alive.

While the 'olds' are still around, take a look at "Vindicatrix Remembered" on U-Tube. The 1962 video of an hour in length is well worth checking out. Then again, it's probably only me who hadn't seen it before today. If you were at Vindi in earlier years what you see may be surprising. My year was 1948 making what I saw, as at 1962, of the changes over 14 years difficult to believe. Nevertheless, very acceptable.

Many thanks for this Video Ken
Although I myself did not attend Vindi it more than likely will be of some good interest to many here on site!
I will most definitely watch it as well.
    Nice of you

AH,When I phoned Roy Dereham last week we spoke about Robin.saying we did not realise how much he did.
Within the conversation,Roy said they had found someone within the group to take on Robins role.
So in the very near future the site will be up and running again.

    Hi Mike .
Thanks for that information. Robin was a long time mate though only in touch by Computer, we were at the Vindi the same time in 1949, along with Roy Derham.

As a point of interest how many on the site attend your local Vindi meetings.

Hi Dave, I was on the Vindi May 55 and like Charlie I thought it was a great experience, meeting lads
from different parts of the country was great, like everyone else I was glad to finish my course and go
through the gates for the last time but I can honestly say I enjoyed my time there and didn't find it as hard
as some say. I have never belonged to the Vindi Association, was always too busy at work or home to
think about it, nearest I came to it was in the 80's when I bought Roy Dereham's book, I've never
forgotten my time on the Vindi or my time at sea and I still feel privileged to have been part of it and
therefor a part of our history, all the best , John Collier
