I attended the NSTS Gravesend as a Catering Trainee August/September 1957. A few years back I found a photo of my class with me in it on the net, but have not been able to find it since. I would appreciate any help finding it again!

A lot of the old Gravesend sites have gone unfortunately, so its hard to come by those old Pictures.
There is the Group on Facebook that has a few old Class photos, so you may be lucky if you try there.
Just join Facebook if you allreday have not and Join the Group

I was there May 1954. Catering. Main things I remember are…..the smell of boiled cabbage walking through the main gate and then the ‘short back’n’sides’ haircut soon after. Also recall an ultra strict training officer, (a Second Steward I think) by the name of Plumb and, finally, the nightly supper of two thick rounds of bread and dripping with a mug of cocoa !!
