Two major fires

In recent days there have been fires & explosions on two container ships.
On one looks as if the cause of the explosion in China is down to containers that should have been kept at temperatures below 30 degs at the time of the explosion the air temperature was 39degs.
Been suggested at least one container may have had Lithium batteries in it.
Not sure of the cause of the one in Sri Lanka.
Must be a nightmare on these ships as the mate is not? the one doing the cargo plan?big bang.jpg

Also last week there was a tanker hit 4 times by Houti rebels
Oil tanker attacked four times off Yemen, crew and vessel safe.

Safety at sea for some not all.

And there's me worrying about what I had to put up with all those years ago on the rust buckets I sailed on, which by some of today's standards was heaven. We have had that many fires caused by lithium batteries I wonder why they don't ban them, spesially on those silly scooter bikes.

Damn right Des, too many Fires through the Lithium Batteries!
I often wonder when the Cars are going to be a real problem as well??
Wouldnt have a Battery Car if it was given to me Honestly!!!
Stick with the trusty Fuel Type ! Thats me !

Doc , not that long ago two pensioners were drowned in there EV here in Liverpool. They entered a flooded road tunnel car cut out and with the water still rising(flash flood)they could not open the doors. By the time emergency services got to them to late. In Manchester airport high rise car park I think there was an EV went on fire setting fire to other cars in the building £millions of pounds worth of damage. EV not for our family, con job and the pollution caused by the production process !!!!

James there was a fire at Luton Airport recently caused by an EV. Millions of pounds worth of damage, and the car park has to be rebuilt.
